Characteristics of minorities

The population whose interest or characteristics are different from the majority
are called minorities.The intolerance for the characteristics or interests of these
minorities comes to harm them in different ways. One of these ways is call genocide. 

Genocide mean the destruction of a group of people because their religion, race or
nationality, one example is the genocide of Jews. These genocides were caused
by a fascist government that hated their religion and what it represented. Other way
is the expulsion. 

Expulsion is the act of forcing someone to leave a place. An example of expulsion
could be when the current president of the U.S want to remove 11 million
undocumented inmigrants. 

Segregation is the action of setting apart or separation of people or things from others
or from the main body or group. An example of segregation are the indigenous groups
which are separated from the society.

Assimilation is the process whereby individuals or groups of differing ethnic heritage
are absorbed into the dominant culture of a society.
